Professional writer and storyteller
If something exciting is happening in a Queensland town or city, there’s a good chance I’ve written about it, photographed it, or convinced a friend to tag along “for research”.
I began my journalism career in 2011 after graduating from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), and since then I’ve written my way across Southeast Queensland.
My work has appeared across multiple News Corp daily mastheads including The Courier-Mail and The Queensland Times, as well as community publications throughout Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, the Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley, and Moreton Bay. Over the years, I’ve worked as a journalist, photographer, sub-editor, editor, designer, and chief of staff.
Beyond newsrooms, I’ve held media, communications, and tourism roles with several Southeast Queensland councils and have freelanced for tourism platforms such as Discover Ipswich, Visit Scenic Rim, Luvya Lockyer, and Visit Moreton Bay.
My writing also features throughout multiple visitor guidebooks, reflecting my passion for sharing great places to explore.
I’ve been involved in numerous major events - both behind the scenes and on the ground - including the Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival, Redcliffe Kitefest, community Christmas carols, Scenic Rim Eat Local Week, Laidley Spring Festival, and the Lockyer Valley Christmas Carnival because I love being part of the action.
In 2025, I was accepted into the Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW) and I look forward to broadening my horizons and bringing you new and exciting content from across Australia and the world!
